MORE APARTMENTS PLANNED FOR BURLINGTON
A Wilmington developer has submitted plans to build a 288-unit apartment complex to west Burlington.
Zimmer Development wants to build Alamance West Apartments between Bonnar Bridge and Buck Hill roads.
And plans are moving forward to turn the former May Hosiery Mill downtown into loft apartments.
That developer has submitted site plan’s to the city’s Technical Review Committee. The developer plans to convert the mill into 70 loft apartments.
Alamance West is at least the second complex planned for the area near Interstate 40-85. Buck Hill Village LLC of Roanoke, Va., is to build its complex across from the new fire station and Highland Elementary School on Bonnar Bridge. It will be 120 units.
The plans say that the complex would have five buildings, including a clubhouse, and a pool. The lot is 9.5 acres.
And last month, a developer sumitted plans for a new apartment complex on St. Mark’s Church Road. It would have 182 units and 4,500 square feet of retail space.
